a wave to my fellow tummies

Time to gather up the little ones and wave goodbye to the old year trundling off into the distance.

I feel like I have spent a good deal of time trundling off into the distance myself over the course of the year. I have a lot of dreams that I wish to make come true if I can find the time. I am hoping to spend next year happily gazing at the window, Manatee by my side, listening to the "Chorus of the Cicadas" in D minor, and watching the small ones pretending to be turtles.

A big hello from all the little ones to you who have followed their adventures, and have shared your wisdom and your little one's wisdom with us all. I hope everyone has a happy new year and that a nice cup of tea always appears at your side when you need it.

home fix it

Why is there is a hole in the wall?
It wasn't there when I went outside.
I am going to have to fix it somehow.
I asked the little ones how would they fix it.

"With a piece of pottery." suggests The Little One.

"With a piece of wall." suggests Wee Small .

christmas cards

Wee Small has been drawing a few Christmas cards for family and friends. But it was beginning to become a little bit too much work for someone small of stature. So she thought of a brilliant solution.

"I am going to draw one big card for all of them." she declared.

The Little One, being the eldest, immediately detected the flaw in her reasoning.

"But they all live in different places, and Nana lives in New Zealand.

"Oh." said Wee Small.

rituals

So happy to be back after a long stint of nonsense far far away, and even more happy that I have returned just in time for a a ritual that takes place every year in our wee family.

For it is tonight that we shall climb up to the highest point on tummy mountain to catch a few stars for our christmas tree.

We shall have our arms outstretched and there may be a lot of jumping up and down.
