dazed

Well I was away for a lot longer than I thought, and will be soon again.
The little ones are not happy about this.
Neither am I.

I tried to comfort them with platitudes, and then a platypus, but that didn't work.

"Little Ones, every cloud has a silver lining," I said
"No they don't," replied Wee Small. "They would drop out of the sky."

This is a very sensible statement. However, metaphysically speaking, a cloud can have a silver lining and still remain floating about in the blue...

Still, when you're only a Small One, life can be confusing (when you're a Big One it can be pretty odd too!).

I'm not sure if I could tell the difference between a platitude and a platypus under these circumstances.

I hope you are able to be home again for a good long time (so long as it won't prevent you earning any money!) But Little Ones don't really care about money. Or plati-whatisits.

There is nothing quite like time spent with Mommy when one is a Little One. Or time spent with Little Ones when one is a mommy

I too hope you will be home again soon.

Sometimes I feel like every silver lining has a cloud, but then I remind myself to try once again to live in the moment as the Little Ones have taught me...

Sorry to hear about your further absence. I would send you a platypus if I thought it would help xx
